Children & Families

Encouragement, patient instruction and personal attention — focus, self-control and confidence through practice, at each child's own pace.

For the whole child

An overview

We teach the whole child, not just belt colors. In our children's classes, encouragement and patient instruction come first. Children practice listening, focus and self-control, and grow in confidence through steady, individual progress — always at their own pace, in partnership with parents.

01

Focus and self-control

Children learn to listen, follow directions and process new movement. Over time, focus and self-control carry from the mat into school and home.

02

Confidence through practice

We don't push children toward competition or intimidation. Confidence grows from real, earned progress — coordinated movement, respectful conduct and the quiet pride of showing up.

03

Personal attention

Our teachers give individual attention and meet each child where they are. Progress is based on learning and instructor guidance, never on a fixed timetable.

04

A note on ages

Age placement varies by school. Please contact your preferred school about the right starting point for your child — we'll help you find the right fit.
